St Peter’s Singers
Founded in 1977 by Harry Fearnley, a senior adult chorister at Leeds Minster, St Peter’s Singers has always striven to combine musical enterprise with excellence; acclaim for these twin aims has placed the Singers in the forefront of regional music-making – a reputation enhanced by international tours, recitals, concerts and recordings. The choir’s membership sustains a significant interaction between young voices and those of more experienced performers, some professional or semi-professional singers and teachers of music, others amateur. The Singers lend substantial support to musical and general endeavour at Leeds Minster – by the provision of choral input at major festivals and each Good Friday with a choral and orchestral concert.
During the summer and early autumn of 2014 the Singers undertook an innovative and highly successful project , ‘One Equal Music’, that included performances and recordings of modern spiritual music in the beautiful setting of Leeds’ Victoria Quarter.Buy St Peter's Singers latest CD
